buona terra- Case Study
29 Scotts Road, Singapore
BEFORE

Located in the cozy extended wing of Chateau TCC, Buona Terra delivers a boutique dining experience, proudly holding a Michelin star from 2021 to 2024. Previously, the restaurant’s design was outdated. After Chef Denis Lucchi earned the restaurant its first Michelin star, the owners decided to refresh the space, aligning the ambiance and design with the refined Italian cuisine. The design brief was clear: create a fresh, clean, elegant, and slightly provocative atmosphere.
The layout of the space remained largely unchanged, given the intimate, petite size of the interior. However, the redesign included larger window openings, allowing more natural light to flood the space and enhance the overall dining experience

AFTER

The restaurant’s design reflects the vision of Chef Denis Lucchi, drawing inspiration from contemporary Italian design to provide a striking contrast to the colonial beauty of the Black-and-White bungalow.
We envisioned a simple yet iconic design for this intimate space, blending understated sophistication with minimalist elegance. Organic curves gently soften the space, which remains bright and sleek by day, then transforms into a warm, inviting glow by night. Vibrant artwork and a striking wine display add personality, setting the stage for guests to enjoy Chef Lucchi’s bold, innovative cuisine in a timeless, yet contemporary setting.
The restaurant renovation, under ASDA's management and site supervision was completed in only 45 days.
